Homeless Clients

The SOS requires  proof of a residential address. The Secretary of State will not accept a post office box.

If a homeless client is living in a shelter,  he or she can use that as their address.  The SOS will accept a letter from the shelter saying that you stay there.

If you are homeless and are having difficulty getting ID, go to our Solving Problems page.
